Our chapter conducts membership intake for new members at least once a year.  We diligently keep our eyes and ears open for women who are already living our values and are a true testament to our community and invite them to join our prestigious organization.  We know that new members add to our chapter and we welcome new talents, gifts, and members with open arms.
We invite women that are seeking membership into our Sorority and ultimately our chapter to attend our public events, get to know the women in our chapter formally and informally, and allow us a chance to know the real you as well. We appreciate forming strong bonds with the women who are pursing membership into our chapter and provide many opportunities for interactions.
Although membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is by invitation only, we encourage interested women with a track record of community service and currently in possession of a baccalaureate degree to contact the chapter at for more information.
Along with the benefits of support, encouragement and friendships that last a lifetime, Zeta Phi Beta membership offers many practical benefits.
• Professional Development – Zeta women develop leadership skills by attending seminars, holding officer and committee positions within the chapter; and serving as a role model for the Sorority’s youth affiliates.
• Personal Development – Membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is a living and learning experience for women with shared values and objectives. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities where you can use your unique talents and knowledge to contribute to the chapter and your community.
• Sisterhood – Zeta Phi Beta encourages young women to learn and grow in the spirit of sisterly love and friendship during college years and beyond.

Non-degree seeking women interested in the Amicae and young ladies interested in one of the youth groups should email for more information.

Looking For a Zeta Home?

Life takes us many places through our travels, relocation for jobs and family or by just stopping through the Queen City for a season, we invite initiated Sorors to consider making Delta Zeta their “Zeta Home” here in Charlotte. We are a large chapter with a small chapter feel.  We are an old chapter with a young driving spirit. Our chapter has a long history and everyday we seek new ways to stay relevant and innovative. Many hands make the work light and we always welcome Sorors to help us along as we do the WORK of Zeta!  Sorors are always welcomed at our chapter meeting and events.  The age range of our chapter Sorors is vast and you will find many Sorors to connect with, mentor, and have the opportunity to be mentored.

We are proud to advise not one, but two, undergraduate chapters here in Charlotte – Kappa Chapter at Johnson C. Smith University and Upsilon Xi Chapter at UNC-Charlotte.  We have a strong connection to the undergraduate experience and we know making the transition from undergrad to grad member can be challenging.  To that end, we provide incentives and opportunities for our youngest Sorors to immerse themselves in our chapter upon graduation.  We are also intentional about starting the connection with graduate chapter membership early in the lives of our undergraduate Sorors.  It is not uncommon to see Delta Zeta members at Kappa & Upsilon Xi Chapter events and the same can be said for the undergrads attending graduate events.

We do whatever is possible to guide the transition for our undergraduate Sorors with the hope that the commitment of lifetime membership will continue long after their four (4) years of college.  We welcome new graduates to our chapter and make sure they know that there is a place for them and their voice is just as important as any other Soror in our chapter.
